Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how [Teeveo Pty Ltd] ("Teeveo", "we", "us") collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information when you use the Teeveo website and platform. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and, where it applies, the EU/UK GDPR.
1. Who we are
Teeveo operates a retail-media platform connecting advertisers with digital screens in physical retail locations. The data controller is [Teeveo Pty Ltd], [ABN 00 000 000 000], of [registered business address]. For any privacy question or request, contact us at privacy@teeveo.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Early-access and contact details — the email address you submit to join the waitlist or contact us.
- Account information — name, email, password credentials and the organisation you belong to when you register for the platform.
- Advertiser content — campaign settings, budgets and the creative assets (images or video) you upload.
- Retailer and screen details — store names, locations, screen configuration and advertising preferences.
- Billing information — handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
Information we collect automatically
- Usage and analytics data — pages viewed, interactions, approximate location, device and browser information, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 6).
- Operational and device data — screen pairing identifiers, playback logs and proof-of-play records generated by the Teeveo device.
- Diagnostics — error and performance data used to keep the service reliable.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- provide, operate, secure and improve the platform;
- create and manage accounts and authenticate users;
- run advertising campaigns, moderation, scheduling, measurement and reporting;
- calculate and pay retailer revenue share and bill advertisers;
- respond to enquiries and provide support;
- send service and, where permitted, marketing communications (you may opt out at any time);
- detect, prevent and address fraud, abuse and security incidents; and
- comply with our legal obligations.
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract, our legitimate interests (operating and improving the service), your consent (for example, certain cookies and marketing), and compliance with legal obligations.
4. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only as needed to run the service:
- Service providers (processors) who host and support the platform, under contract and only on our instructions — currently including hosting and database infrastructure (Supabase), application hosting (Vercel), analytics (Google Analytics), error monitoring (Sentry), media delivery (Cloudinary) and payments (Stripe).
- Between platform participants, in limited form— advertisers receive aggregated delivery and proof-of-play reporting, and retailers receive screen activity and earnings data. Tenant data is otherwise isolated: one organisation cannot see another organisation's data.
- Legal and safety — where required by law, regulation or legal process, or to protect our rights, users or the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
5. International transfers
Some of our service providers store or process data outside Australia (and may be outside your country of residence). Where we transfer personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the APPs and, where the GDPR applies, on the basis of an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.
6. Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Cookies that are strictly necessary — for example, to keep you signed in — are always active. Analytics cookies are off by default: we use Google Analytics to measure traffic and engagement only after you accept analytics cookies through our cookie banner, using Google Consent Mode. Identifiers in page paths are redacted before being sent.
You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the site footer, control cookies through your browser settings, and opt out of Google Analytics using Google's opt-out tools. Disabling some cookies may affect how the site works.
7. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business or legal purposes — for example, proof-of-play and billing records are retained to support reconciliation, payouts and tax obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
8. Security
We use technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, tenant isolation enforced at the database level, encrypted storage of device credentials, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you. Where the GDPR applies, you may also have rights to erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, contact privacy@teeveo.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by law.
10. Complaints
If you have a privacy concern, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au, or, where the GDPR applies, your local supervisory authority.
11. Children
The platform is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be notified where required by law.
